In America in the beginning, the performing arts accomplishments of young Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely have put her in the prodigy child category. For a child with Irish origin, and surrounded by gifted parents and family members, those were not innate traits. Maureen was welcomed into the family-oriented house on August 17th, 20 in Ranelagh. Marguerita L. FitzSimons made a name for herself with her contralto. Charles FitzSimons was a successful businessman in Dublin who also owned a part of the Irish soccer team Shamrock Rovers. Maureen FitzSimons' was the second FitzSimons children. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen did well in sports and enjoyed playing rough sports. The passion for sports was matched by a natural talent for performance. This was demonstrated by her receiving nearly every Feis awards for drama and the stage that her country had to offer. By age 14 she was admitted into the world-renowned Abbey Theater and pursued her dream of classical theater and operatic singing.
